Western Reservoir Conditions·Daily·No. 96·
- Reservoir Bench lists 31 official webcams at 21 reservoirs, each checked by hand on ; 24 were updating when checked.
- Every camera is run by the agency, park or marina named beside it, and every link goes to that operator's own page. Nothing is embedded or copied here.
- Lake Powell and Lake Oroville have the most, 3 live official cameras each.
A search for a lake webcam mostly turns up pages that frame other people's cameras, many long dead. This list keeps only cameras the operator itself publishes, says what each one looks at, and records when it was last checked. Today's level for each reservoir sits beside its cameras, so you can read what you are looking at.

Reservoirs with no official camera found
We looked and found no operator-run webcam showing the water or dam at: Lake Mohave, Flaming Gorge Reservoir, Navajo Reservoir, Elephant Butte Reservoir, New Melones Lake, Trinity Lake, San Luis Reservoir, Lake Travis, Lake Buchanan, Falcon Lake. Cameras offered only through third-party webcam directories are left out.
How this list is made
- Only cameras the operator publishes on its own website: a federal or state agency, a city or county, a river authority, or a marina or concessioner on the lake. Webcam directories and reposted streams are left out.
- Each page was opened and confirmed to carry a working camera that shows the water, a ramp or marina on it, or the dam. Where the camera posts a still image, the image's update time was checked.
- Last full check: . Cameras break and get moved; a camera that was down when checked is listed as not updating rather than dropped while its operator still lists it.
- By operator type: Federal agency: 15; Marina: 5; City or county: 3; Park concessioner: 2; Resort: 2; State agency or park: 2; University program: 2.
- Launch-ramp lines use the National Park Service's published minimum launch elevations and the latest gauge reading. They describe the water, not whether the ramp is open: check the park's current ramp status before you tow.
