Today's water level on your page, updated daily from official gauges.
Western Reservoir Conditions·Daily·No. 91·
A free badge that shows a reservoir's current water level on your own website. It updates itself every day from the same official gauges this site reads, so your visitors always see today's number without you touching it.
Copy this into any page that accepts HTML (WordPress Custom HTML block, Squarespace or Wix embed block, a forum post that allows iframes):
Every reservoir page also has this code for its own lake, under "Put this lake level on your website". To switch lakes by hand, change lake-mead in both addresses to the name in that reservoir's page address, for example lake-powell or elephant-butte.
What it shows
Surface elevation in feet, from the latest daily reading.
Percent full and the same status word used across this site (how the scale works).
The change over the past 7 days and the past year.
The reading date and the agency it came from: USBR (Bureau of Reclamation), CA DWR (California Department of Water Resources) or TWDB (Texas Water Development Board).
Lake Mead today, as the badge above shows it: 1,037.19 ft and 26.0% full on October 21, 2026. Clicking the badge opens the reservoir's full page with charts and the complete history.
The terms
Free, for any site, commercial or not. No sign-up, no key.
No ads and no cookies inside the badge. It counts how many times it loads on each website (the site's name only, never the page or the visitor), so we know where it is used.
Please keep the one-line credit under it. It is how people find the source, and it costs you nothing.
The numbers are provisional agency data, the same as on the agencies' own sites. For navigation or safety decisions, check the operator's latest notice.
Who uses a lake level badge
Marinas and boat rentals (ramp and slip questions start with the level), fishing guides, lake associations and HOAs, campgrounds, local news sites covering drought, and anyone running a lake forum. If you would rather pull the numbers into your own design, the same data is in plain JSON at /data/latest.json and per reservoir at /data/<name>.json (see data downloads).
